Thoughts

Last week was a crazy week. Crazy good I think. Started Sunday the 18th in Superior Wisconsin. Where I spoke at the Superior Alliance Church about ENvision Paris, our family and ENvision. The church had “double booked” and I was sharing on the same Sunday as Minnesota Teen Challenge. Even though my message was completely different from the message of Teen Challenge, the core of the message that Christ is the answer was the same. Whether you are lost to addictions or lost to apathy apart from Christ there is no hope.

Drove the six and a half hours home across the state of Wisconsin, stopping in Wausau to see some friends. Tuesday evening I drove up to Appleton to do a 5 minute plug for ENvision Paris and ENvision at Appleton Alliance Church  young adult gathering. Connected with a few young adults and the senior pastor about the heart behind ENvision Paris and why the Roos family is leaving midwest America to reach the people of Paris. Hoping we will see a few interns and trips joining us in Paris from Appleton Alliance in the coming years.

Thursday through Saturday we were part of the Alliance Bible Church’s Project Experience. The Project Experience is this amazing experience that gives the participant a heartfelt look at social issues that reveal the heart of God for the lost and hurting. Raeni and I set a booth after the Experience to communciate how reaching the lost in Paris leads to changing Africa and the world. There were good conversations and a few t-shirt sales.

Satuday, my friend Jason Ostrander, share the heart of ENvision with people in Mequon and those from the surrounding area. He did a great job communicating the passion of God for the generations and lost around the world. If you want to hear what he shared and the dream behind ENvision check out http://alliancemequon.org/420011.ihtml and listen to the ENvision Benefit concert. If you listen carefully at the end you will hear my voice also.

Sunday ENvision international worker, Pete Brokopp shared at Plymouth Alliance about how God’s heart for the lost means leaving the 99 on the hills and going after the lost. He shared the dream of having ENvision interns reach the lost in the dark unreached places of Africa. And also how reaching Paris helps to reach Africa. So Good.

Ended the weekend with our youth ministry joining with three other churches to worship, pray and have pizza. Students were handed The Life Book to hand out to their friends.

Such a good week. I am going to bed.
