Raeni – Blog update 10/12/11

So I thought I would be better at keeping up a blog. What I have learned about blogging is – for me blogging is an extremely emotional thing. I have to gear myself up for the emotional out pouring that writing  can be. So in an effort to keep things light I am just going to give you some highlights of the past few weeks.
Currently, Tony and I are in Colorado learning how to learn language. This program is has been a great benefit. We are learning to hear and produce different sounds. As usual Tony excels and I struggle. For my very competitive nature this is quite a blow to my psyche. In fact I may have thrown a small tantrum one afternoon. Not one of my better days. Although I think I better get over myself pretty soon as Tony and I are going to have a year of language school together starting in January. God is using these classes to continue refining me. He points out my insecurity, my baggage, the things I feel I need to be comfortable. He challenges me to deal with the emotions and feelings that are not of him. He continues to show me the value of the prayer that goes before me. I am so grateful that we have a God who never leaves or forsakes, a God who continues refine and mold.

Here are a few of our current prayer needs –

Our VISA applications – we will be headed to Chicago for this on October 17th

For Tony as he continues to travel and speak in churches

For the details – sometimes it seems impossible to keep everything clear in our heads.

For the finances – currently we need an additional $40,000 a year to be fully funded. Pray that God would open hearts and wallets to get us to our full funding.

For those of you who are reading this we thank you for your support. For your prayer support. For your financial support. We feel your prayers and see God working everyday. Please let us know how we can be praying for you as well.
