It’s been one year since we started this crazy journey. A year ago yesterday I was fighting to keep my eyes open from jet lag, as Raeni and I talked face to face for the first time about ENvision Paris, moving to France, what that would mean, how that would happen, what had to happen, what didn’t have to happen, how in the world it was going to happen and about one million and one other questions. Some of the questions arose from the fact that missions and self funding were not things we had ever planned for our lives. The great thing is that they were the things that God has planned. And when you say yes to God and the things he has planned, it makes life better. Not easier, but better. This has not been an easy year. But it has been a good year.
Tonight I write this after attending the last football banquet of my coaching career here in Plymouth. What a year it’s been! I can’t say that all the above questions have been answered but I can say that we are smack in the middle of where God wants us to be going. It’s now a reality that is fast approaching. We will be living in France by the end of the year. We have sold the majority of our household, bought four duffel bags to move in and are trusting God to provide the remaining funds to come in as we move forward to the future in store for us. December 27th just before 9:00 pm our plane departs this country for the next!
But what has happened in the last year. It would take more than a blog post to write it all out. That’s why you have the opportunity to look back through the blogs to see what has transpired.
Good news and an answer to prayer: Holly (our family dog) seems to have found a home that will take her. She goes for a visit this weekend to see if gets along with the other two dogs that are there.
We are still hoping you will sign up to be part of our prayer team. Please look to the left and sign up for our prayer list to pray for us.
